A scale model of a bronze throne made of flames, includes spikes on the seat itself to prevent the sitter being comfortable, the sides and back of the chair are open, and the armrests are spiked in the shape of flames so there is nowhere to rest.

Designed & constructed for A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed by Carl Cofield, set in the Black Forest of Germany, built with paper & floristry wire to feel like wood-shavings & bark as the Mechanicals were a group of cuckoo clock builders.
